It's time for my exhibition SHOTS at V4 in Stockholm. V4 is my favourite restaurant and lounge bar with awesome food and great drinks. Have a drink at V4 between 20th of November and 18th of December and you will see some of my pics on the walls.
It was a chaos in the subway today. An accident or suicide, I don't know. But my day got a bit turned up side down. Hours later I was going in the subway again. I sat down at Slussen just watching all the people running off and on the trains. For half an hour I was sitting there. Just watching. Thinking. Why do I run even if I'm not in a hurry? Why can't I see things around me, just thinking about the goal - where I'm going? Why do I get upset when I miss a train when the next one is coming five minutes later? Cause I'm not planning for five minutes delay. Not a second can be wasted.
You should try it. Take the next bus or train. Just wait up for a minute. And plan for at least five minutes delay so you don't have to run or get stressed out by anything. I'm gonna try to.
In 2007 I lived in Australia. I went to Australia on my own, to study, without knowing anyone over there, down under. It became a giant life experience. Anyhow...
The coolest thing and most unreal thing in Australia was when Katie (Irish classmate) and I went to Roma in Queensland for the annual International Rodeo Competition during easter. It took us two days by car there, giant road trains (GIANT! trucks with stuff or animals), desert, jackaroos along the road. Everything and everywhere else I saw or met in Australia felt or looked like something I've already seen - on the news or internet or something before I came there. But that road trip. Wow. Just amazing. And the rodeo. We got there, I bought a hat in kangaroo skin. Everyone there was wearing shirts, jeans, boots and hats. Everyone. And horses and dogs everywhere. Unreal. Just freaking unreal. But wonderful in a weird kinda way.
Fruit: * Big pear (sweet one) * Kiwi * Passion fruit (make sure that it's round and purple) * Banana (1/2) * Linseed * Orange juice (<1dl)
Get rid of all the shells, cut it into pieces into the blender. Turn it on! Use a sweet giant pear and you wont need any sugar or sweetner. This will give you a yellow/greenish smoothie about 3-4 dl.
Friends. I know a lot of people. From/in all over the world. Some are close, some aren't. Some means a lot to me. Some of the ones that means a lot may not know how much they mean to me.
Since I went to Australia (and came back) I've felt like I've lost a lot of friends. Or at least lost contact with. I did gain friends as well. But some parts are just missing.
I've got almost exactly as many female as male friends. Two of my male friends, both first name is Marcus, Andersson and Hindersson is two of the ones who means the most. Maybe without knowing how much. I really miss both of them. I've been training with both of them in periods, and now it's really hard training alone. They had a big part of my motivation. And I miss talking to them. They are honest guys.
Today I got really sick. Went to the gym at seven in the morning, not feeling to well but still determined to start and finnish the training session. It didn't happen. Straight home to the bed. After another five hours of sleep I moved to the sofa, watching VH1. My favourite channel. Perfect mix of different genres and old stuff.
This weekend I got a couple of friends from Gothenburg visiting. Our plan was to party and shop til we drop. I reckon we succeeded. Friday night: Sturehof, Ett litet hak and Obaren. Saturday: shopping from 10 in the morning! Party at my place and Solidaritet.
A place you should visit for some food and/or drinks is Ett Litet Hak on Grev Turegatan, close to Sturegallerian. Normal prices, great service, nice interior, great music, awesome drinks, cool but nice people at the place. This will definitly be a place in competetion with my favourite food/drink place V4 (Verkstadsgatan 4, Hornstull).
Today I baked some... Recipe at www.kanalbullar.com
For a couple of years I have been using Last.fm to register tracks im listening to, find new music and create playlists. Lately I've been using youtube, creating playlists and rocking at work. Last week the art director at work recommended seeqpod for listening to tracks and creating playlists. This my playlist for today:
Yesterday Stockholm new radio station Radio 107,5 had a premeiere party at Café Opera. It was a mix of Swedish celebs, artists and gorgeous people. It doesn't matter how hot you feel or how good you look, it will always be people looking better and being hotter than you at Café Opera. But that also means that almost everyone there, men or women are hot. Or rich. Haha.
Live performances by Elin Lantho (don't know who she is), Danny and Basic Elements. Peter and Jonas from Basic Elements were wearing clothes from Top Streetwear.
Without noticing it I'm now having a new favourite colour? Red. Satin Red. Last week I bought a new phone (it's sooo cool, I'll write more about it tomo) Sony Ericsson Walkman W760 and yesterday a bought a new nailpolish. Mavala Satin. So now I'm walking around with perfect nails matching my new phone. So silly and without noticing until now.
My recomendations for good looking nails:
Buy small containers of nail polish, like Mavala, then the polish wont get to old and you can afford having a lot of different colours.
Always use a multilack in the bottom, let it dry completly.
Two thin layers of the coloures polish.
Finish with the awesome Colorfix with Acryl from Mavala! It will make youre nails perfect and the colour longer lasting.
Oh yeah! This week and weekend has certainly been photography. Photography at it's best. Or at my best for a very long time any way. Had my lovely friend Theresa Hol doing makeup on seven models in a small studio in Stockholm. Here is one of my favourite shots: See more pics at: my Flickr page!
Swedish Idol has been running on tv for a couple of weeks now. I enjoy the auditions more than the programs afterwards, the mix of great singers and people that can't understand that they can't sing.
This year it's a new panel of judges. I love the new judges. They leave people with critism not personal attacks. Andreas Carlsson is my favourite of the judges, really competent and consistent.
Here are a couple of my favourite auditions this year:
Robin Bengtsson - Bring it all home
Kenny Lundström - That's alright with you
My favourite in Australian Idol 2007 was Carl Riseley (listen to those crazy judges with the wonderful accent!)
One of my favourite performances was by Matt Corby though, with a great song by Evermore - It's too late
What got me into photography? That is a rather good question. I think a lot of people is wondering what happened to constructing engineering or sports journalism or the military?
When I was a kid I loved taking photos of everything. When I was about 10 yo my camera broke down at Legoland in Denmark, I was devastated. At the age of 16 I was working at SportCamp and met Erik Linghede, he was just one of all the other leaders, but he bought a SLR and showed me some pics later on, It was so cool! I wanted to do that! At the age of 17-18 I met a guy, Kalle Thyselius, we only met once. But his creativity and feeling for positioning/croping, art and design got me even more interested in photography. Kalle is now working with some of the worlds biggest companies programming websites, designing advertising and more. Have a look - InLoveWith.
Today I brought Erik to the studio and company I work with. He will hopefully work as a photographer a long with me. It's a bit weird, showing my inspiration how to take the pics in the studio. He knows so much more than me. Hopefully this can give him something back=)
And what happened to all of my other job plans? Well. I'm still young. You never know what I'll work with tomo.
* Ed Hardy - Probably the highest ranked brand in the States for rich people and the everyday people that wants something limited. If you like the style - enjoy it now, it's at it's top. Soon I belive it will fall just like Von Dutch did.
Brands to have a look at: Filippa K, Acne, Ed Hardy (if you wanna spice the classic outfit), Dockers, Dickies, Boss, Sand, Dior, Paul & Friends
DUMPS:
* Low V-neck
* Giant logos on your clothes
* Linen Pants
* Tight Laces
* Bandana on your head
* Big colourful accessories

House music at it's best. Swedish house music. I've said it before. But hey, this is freaking quality! Eric Prydz is creating new music constantly. When you think you know about his music there is new tracks over and over again. I love. You'll never get bored.
Shadows by Pryda:
A different version of my favourite Pjanoo - Fusion Pjanoo
When you're walking on the street passing this gorgeous man what makes the experience even stronger? A) The manfully smell of sweat B) A perfect touch of perfume C) No smell
I prefer B. A nice perfume can make the ordinary man to the hot man.
If you wanna get me intersted, today I'm recomending:
It's getting harder and harder to find a video to embed on the blog. The reason? The record labels can now go in and decide which videos are staying on youtube.com, they keep the best ones, put their label on the video and disable the embeding. Fucking enoying. Why? Now I can't show you wonderful artists like Neverstore, Lazee and Backyard Babies. I just can't see any reason to do this.
All Metallica fans would think of one thing hearing the word 'unforgiven'. At least if you don't have english as your main language, haha. Anyway, they have previously released The Unforgiven and the Unforgiven II. On the latest album, Death Magnetic, that will the realeased on September 12th, they have The Unforgiven III.
How come you are the only one making me jealous? Until I met you I never understod how people could feel so much jealousy. Now I understand. Let go of me. I hate jealousy. It doesn't make me to a very nice person. Or especially happy. It was a really good day. It's gonna be a really good week. Nothing should stop me anymore. It's time for some highway life.
My computer is not working correctly since a couple of months back. I always have to listen to music. So for a month I've only been listening to music through youtube. Yesterday I rediscovered my cd-collection! A pretty awesome one, filled with rock, hard rock, singer/songwriter and some other stuff.
One of Swedens best musicians (according to me) is Kristofer Åström. He is from northern part of Sweden called Luleå. I have every single solo album from him until a couple of years back. He was also playing in a rock/punk band in Luleå called Fireside. Today I listened to the album Get Shot. Here are my favourites from that album:
Say you don’t know how to do it now So you run It’s not that you’re bleeding, but you’re through with it now So you run, so you run
I know that you need it, you can’t live alone So you run, so you run
Only you know the real ones are cause you’ve seen There’s only one question I want to ask is it healing When you hear everyone say you’re amazing Does anybody ask you?
Do you cry in your sleep and do you feel ok? When you run
Cause I know that you’re real, amazing, amazing, amazing
As a kid I fell in love with the song Kiss from a rose by Seal. Through the years when he has come back I keep on falling in love with his songs, like Love's divine.
In november/december I was watching Victoria Secrets Christmas Fashion Show in Australia (I still lived there). Thought it was interesting from a photography perspective. I was really impressed, it's truely beautiful girls walking that catwalk! And those heals! Oh my, try to walk in those. Anyhow, I probably was quite emotional at that time but when Seal was performing it was just awesome, and the duet with his wife, the unbelivable Heidi Klum...
Yesterday I fell in love. With Texas. An eight week old Irish Soft Coated Wheatern Terrier. Ludde, that I have been writing about was a American soft coated wheatern terrier. I just wanna play with him, and feel him fall asleep in my lap.
I'm so tired of being here I've tried so hard to tell myself that you're gone These wounds won't seem to heal This pain is just too real There's just too much that time cannot erase But you still have All of me
Stureplan became a dancefloor with some of the worlds best dj's, two of them from Swedish House Mafia - Sebastian Ingrosso and Steve Angelo. My friends and I weren't the only ones there. Aprox 45 000 people were dancing on the streets that night. It was freaking crowded.
Why can't I just leave it. Leave it the way I should have left it the first time. Why did it all start allover again? I was weak. I was stupid. I wanna fall back. Will anyone catch me?
I have now lost all of the male souls meaning the world to me (except my father). I lost Freddy 8th of December 2004. Grandpa 17th of May 2008 and now Ludde 30th of July 2008.
I've also lost (not physically) two men in my life that meant so much to me the last couple of weeks. I'm sorry but I can't continue. And I'm sorry that I don't feel the same as two years ago.
Been out dancing tonight at Cafe Opera in Stockholm with a girlfriend of mine. I didn't feel like dancing with any men, I just don't wanna get 'addicted' to another one breaking my heart by leaving in any sense.
I'm sad but there is no tears left to cry.
Rest in Peace Ludde, 5th of April 1996 - 30th of July 2008.
Tomorrow me and granma are going away for one week of sun, swimming, canoeing, fishing and just doing absolutely nothing! See you guys in a week! Take care<3
My heart has been damaged. My heart has been fixed. My heart has been taken care of. My heart has been stolen.
A big piece of my heart will never be the same since I lost my best friend. But I'm starting to realize that someone has finally taken a tiny piece of my heart. I think the piece is growing as well. And he has certainly helped me to heal the pain of my damaged heart.
Time for me to be a copycat. Read a blog the other day and the blogger wrote things that people may not know about him. I thought I could be a copycat and do my own little list of things YOU may not know about me.
When I started walking I had to constantly wear a helmet cause I kept on getting brain concussion by falling over, running into the table or sitting on the vaccum cleaner when mum draged it away without noticing me on it.
"My" first horse was a black Shetland Pony named Pretty Ghost that I was driving around and tought my little brother to ride on.
I started swimming when I was 5 yo and was in a elite group when I was 8 yo and had to quit cause I hated to compete and was afraid of deep water - so I could only train in shallow pools.
I loved Spice Girls and knew every single dance to the first two albums, so when we moved and I changed school I could no longer be Mel B cause they already had some Spice Girls at that school, so I became their dance teacher instead.
I don't eat soup.
I have jumped out of a plane.
Once I climbed up to the five meter springboard. An adult had to carry me down cause I was shaking too much to get myself down.
I lived in Australia for more than 10 months and never tried surfing or went to Sydney Opera house.
I have been working with the royalties horses and driving four of them at the same time on Djurgården in Stockholm.
Some of my dream jobs throughout the years: command/officer, sports journalist, cabinet/pattern-maker/carpenter, fire fighter, life guard, riding police officer, champagne expert.
I have been writing lyrics in english since I was 12-13 yo.
The first time I crushed my front teeth I was swimming into the bottom of a pool. Second time by biting some sort of toy while chasing my brother at our grandparents house. Third time on a bike, into the ground - pretty badly wounded noose, lips and chin. I remember they talking about that some sort of plastic surgery might be needed.
I love 80's music like Earth wind and fire, Village People, Madonna, Cyndi Lauper, Whitney Houston, Simply Red, Temptations, David Bowie, Boney M, Michael Jackson and of course: Alphaville
Quite interesting with covers. Before I got frustrated and thought new versions destroyed old ones. But hey, covers put old song back into light! One house song that I really like and have been writing about is Supermode with Tell me why. The AD at work showed me the original this week. Here the two versions are:
I am completely exhausted, enervated. Can't barely get out of bed in the morning no matter for how long I have been sleeping. Days at work are hard, very hard, I don't have the streangth. At the moment it is a bus strike as well in entire Stockholm. Which means that I'm walking or taking the bike to work. I don't have any streangth to do anything after that walk/ride. It's nothing - 30 min walk/15 min ride. What's wrong?
Should I really travel so much within in Sweden? For how long should I stay in London? Should I just go to Italy and hang around and learn some italian until I run out of money? Should I stay at home and try to get everything sorted? Should I just take a couple of weekends?
Anyhow, I'm having contact with the people I'm gonna see and during the weekend I'm gonna decide where to go, when and buy tickets.
Yesterday my girls and I had a big night out, dinner, desert, nice wines and out shaking our booty's. Finally we went to Solidaritet! They play pure house music one stair up outside, with only the sky as a roof and more mixed dance music downstairs. Interesting mix of people.
At every place we went to yesterday I met some of my models/models to be. Actually the three most good looking human beings I've ever met. It's gonna be me and Bingo Rimér. Hahaha... Him and his women and me and my men.
Hmm, I'm really in for this trip now! Soooo, week 29- busy! After that, laundry and re-pack. Imagine I'll leave mid week 30, to Linköping a couple of days. Gothenburg for the weekend. Helsingborg week 31. Wednesday 23 of July I'm flying from Malmö to London. Gonna stay in England for approx 1-2 weeks.
Week 29 me and grandma is going on a wonderful vacation to Villinge. Villinge is an island in Stockholms archipelago. An island where we've spent sooo many years, it's just ridiculous. I hope we'll have some great weather so we can spend the entire week sunbathing and fishing and swimming!
After week 29 has ended only the Gods knows what I'll do or where. I'm thinking about doing a traintrip in Europe. Or just move to some friends in London, work and have fun til the money is gone. Or why not go to Italy or Greece? Maybe work as a travel guide/instructor? Or try to get an assistant job in London. Or just work at Starbucks. Or stay in Sweden? Stockholm? Do what? Live where? With whome?
I know. Im escaping the reality again. But what else can you do when you don't like it the way it is? I'm not gonna stay put and get bitter. I'm gonna find myself a reality that is good, fun, enjoyable. Just like aussies. Why just take things for what they are if you don't enjoy it?
Show me love, show me life. Baby show me what it's all about.
Midsummer celebrations are over. It has been really good. Calm, nice, sun, rain, white clothes, family, snaps, beer, strawberries, fish, potatoes. Just my best friend missing. First year without him. It felt quit empty. But still a good midsummer. It will never be the same again.
If YOU are in Stockholm tomorrow night, don't miss out on A Beautiful Friend (Pelle Ekerstam) in Kungsträdgården at 8.00pm. It's for free. Drop by and check him out!
I wish I could turn back time. Five weeks back. When life was alright. Pretty good. Nothing really to complain about. I could eat and sleep. I was comfortable and pretty nice. I haven't been sleeping or eating well for a bit more than two weeks. Yesterday and today I haven't been eating almost anything, I just can't force myself. Haven't been sleeping either. Or being able to do anything. for 14 hours I haven't done anything more than a morning smoothie all day. Now it's time for bed. I hope I won't have to spend the night at the toilet. I hope I can sleep. Otherwise I don't know if I'll be able to stand up at work tomo. Just let me disappear for a while. I don't wanna go away alone. But the only one I want to leave with can't. Or don't want to. I don't know.
Aussie rock band Eskimo Joe is coming to the UK in December! I just have to buy tickets to the London gig, 4th of December. Buy tickets at seetickets.com from 20th of June.
One of my absolute favourite songs and video from last year is Yves Larock with Rise up. It just makes me so happy. I miss running at the sunrise, along the morning surf at Alex Headlands Beach to the rivermouth at Maroochydore.
Latley haven't been writing so much, sorry about that. And sorry that I sound like a really sad person. I am happy as well but the last three-four weeks hasn't been easy in any way. I'm not happier right now. Tomorrow is the funeral. Sorta don't look forward to it at all. I just can't make myself do anything or prepare anything. I just wanna feel some comfort in the warm arms that makes me calm.
What would we do without this wonderful family? What would we do without eachother? We will go through this. We will make it together. Our love to grandpa, dad, husband, father-in-law Blixten ("the lightning/flash") will keep our connection together even stronger. Forever.
The last weeks I haven't been the most stable person to hang around. And lately I've been feeling how I'm about to loose more of the ones that means the most. I hope I won't. Not yet anyway.
The funeral is comin soon. I wanna have speech to grandpa. Dunno know if ill be able to. It still hurts as much today, exactly two weeks later as those days. Time will never heal this wound.
It's been a good day. Been watching and photographing the Stockholm Marathon with my pears. Got some nice pics. We had dinner on the way home at an Italian Restaurant at Birger Jarlsgatan. Very nice!
Tomo it's time for some training with my personal trainer. Haven't been training for a bit more than two weeks. So it will be hard, but good. Looking forward to it. Wish I would have been able to go to granma tomo as well, but sometimes things just won't match/work.
Tonight the Aussie people are having a reunion in Helsingborg. I wish I would have been there together with J. Was dreaming about going there since I got the invitation months and months ago.
I wanna go away for a while. Travel. Inside sweden or Europe or anywhere in the world, big or small, alone or together with someone. Time to leave for a while?
its just so hard. youre trying to be strong and supportive. every night youre wondering when the tears are going to end. how many are they? i just wanna disappear for a while. i feel so alone. im not alone. not at all. not in any way. but i lost my best friend. i lost my soul mate. i lost my grandpa. not just any grandpa. the best one ever. of course theres emptiness. and will always be. no-one can fill that big part of my heart and soul. no one.
Another swedish musician that I love is Eric Gadd. I love old and new stuff just as much. I started thinking about him when I watched the videos with A Beautiful Friend - they have to go to the same hair stylist at the moment=)
Latest single and great video with Eric Gadd (for the first time for a long time he's making music in swedish again) - Tvåhundratusen
I'd like to recommend "A Beautiful Friend" (Pelle Ekerstam). On thursday J and I went to Södra Bar in Stockholm to watch his live perfermance. Very good and personal concert! If that wasn't enough he is very nice in person as well.
I would like to describe the music as melodic, pretty calm, soft - just the perfect music on a sunday.
On thursday you can see Jason Mraz, Kate Ryan, E.M.D, Linda Bengtzing, Patrik Isaksson and so on in Kungsträdgården, Central Stockholm, the concert is for free!
Some favourite tunes:
Jason Mraz Sleeping all day... sleeping all day to dream about you
I can fly, but i want his wings I can shine even in the darkness, but I crave the light that he brings I can love, but I need his heart I am strong even on my own, but from him I never want to part
In Sweden we have an expression that with an exact translation is "Life on a stick" which means that life is pretty good more or less. This weekend has been as much life on a stick as possible. It's been the best weekend for months and months and months! Just great weather, being outside, having picnic, watching the students Quarneval, having dinner out, meeting friends, fresh strawberries, j, smoothies, frappe, watching the boats and canoes go by in the sun on a bridge, getting sun burnt, playing fotball and volleyboll with my cousins - just life at it's best.
People that inspires you. I think everyone has people that inspires more than other. One person that always has inspired me to positivity, taking care of your body and living life all the way is Marcus Andersson. Since the first time I met him he has been spreading a life joy and determination in me. He is a good friend of mine. A great inspiration.
The person in my life that means the most to me is my grandfather. We have always been tight, very honest, for about five years he gave me a lift to the dressage training on tuesday evenings and on competitions. I don't know. It's a special bond. I think everyone has it to someone. My grandpa' hasn't been doing to well lately and today he got pretty bad. I didnt know how to breath. How would I be able to live without him? How could I be able to breath without air?
Take care of yourself. Take a walk. Find some sport or training that suits you. Dont smoke. You only have one body, you can't buy a new one. Sooner or later it will give up on you. Make a change. For yourself.
Song of the day: Jordin Sparks ft. Chris Brown - No Air
Finally I got some quality time doing absolutely nothing! Today, the 1st of May we are having a 'red' day in Sweden - public holiday. So I have been sleeping, taking a loooong bath, sitting on the balcony in the sun, painted my fingernails, chatting, working with some photos, watching tv. Just relaxing. Calmness.
Tomorrow I'm going to work as usual. Plus I'm going to a music studio for a small freelance job. It's gonna be cool I think.
On saturday and sunday Im gonna finnish off a lot of half done photoprojects that I have laying around. No work stuff but still a bit unfinished. Not good.
I just can't believe how much you can miss someone. Someone that you barely haven't seen for weeks and then a couple of days in a row, and just cause you know that the person will be away for awhile you get paralized on the thought of being without the person. Crazy. But hey what can you do about? Im gonna look forward to see him again. Yeah you.
Some days I just can't find a way to not think about or miss Australia. The country that I lived in for almost one year. The year of 2007. A weird year. A good year. A bad year. A very different year. A hot year. A wonderful year. A crazy year. But the only thing that I want to go back for would be to see my friends and 'family' - Lizzie, Erika, Viv, Shaun and his family, the girls at TAFE - Claire, Renee, T... you know who you are, the ones that really matters. I would like to live in that climate again, but not necesserily in australia. Will I ever go back? Go back to Sunny Coast.
One tv-series that I followed as a maniac was the amercan serie "Life" it has finally arrived in Sweden as well! I just loved it! And the commercial before the program started they used Delta Goodrems song 'In this life'. This youtube clip with the song that I found is from the Mourning Show on Channel 7 that I watched every morning. Listen to the wonderful accent! Im afraid that Im about to lose my aussie accent - I hope not!
Sorry that I haven't been writing so much lately! It's just too much happening at the moment. Both good and bad stuff. You know, sometimes you just wish that everything would be a bit less complicated, that the answers just could be so clear that you'd never hesitate. Not always. But sometimes. Just to make life a bit smother and not so harsh.
The weather have been great this week! I've been wearing skirts, dresses and shorts! Sunnies have been a must have! Every single lunch I've been laying in the grass at Gärdet. I've been shooting a lot. Both at work and personally. Been shooting advertising with Dogge, Ken Ring, Sam-E (from Medina) and Kaliffa this week. They are all swedish hiphop artists. So keep your eyes open for the magazines: Rocky and Kingsize in entire Scandinavia. Personally I've been shooting one of my colleague jumping around in the grass, my gorgeoues friend around Långholmen and just some portraits of friends at after work.
This weekend I'm gonna give my website a face-lift. Well it's my goal anyway. I'll let you know if I'll make or not=).
I've started training! At SATS. I'm gonna become a training freak again! Wooohoooo!
