Public Transport

The puplic transport in Stockholm, Sweden in genereal I think, is quit good. Even though few people are willing to acknoledge that. You see, in Sweden we always have to complain about everything even if it's good, that's what driving us to always be better. But that also makes us into a bunch of pretty negative persons. Some of us anyway.

Anyhow, back to the public transport. Since I have started in school and it's winter I have to use the public transport. During hours when everyone is using it. I hate it.
* You have to wait all the time, it's just a long waiting
* You get sick. People coughs and being nasty in general way too near you
* Bad drivers - wryneck. Fuck man, some buss drivers... Still nothing compared to the drivers on the Sunshine Coast, but still...

I can't wait 'til some warmth so I can use my bike instead. Perfect training as well. I miss it.

Big City Stress

It was a chaos in the subway today. An accident or suicide, I don't know. But my day got a bit turned up side down. Hours later I was going in the subway again. I sat down at Slussen just watching all the people running off and on the trains. For half an hour I was sitting there. Just watching. Thinking. Why do I run even if I'm not in a hurry? Why can't I see things around me, just thinking about the goal - where I'm going? Why do I get upset when I miss a train when the next one is coming five minutes later? Cause I'm not planning for five minutes delay. Not a second can be wasted.

You should try it. Take the next bus or train. Just wait up for a minute. And plan for at least five minutes delay so you don't have to run or get stressed out by anything. I'm gonna try to.

Party Weekend

This weekend I got a couple of friends from Gothenburg visiting. Our plan was to party and shop til we drop. I reckon we succeeded. Friday night: Sturehof, Ett litet hak and Obaren. Saturday: shopping from 10 in the morning! Party at my place and Solidaritet.

A place you should visit for some food and/or drinks is Ett Litet Hak on Grev Turegatan, close to Sturegallerian. Normal prices, great service, nice interior, great music, awesome drinks, cool but nice people at the place. This will definitly be a place in competetion with my favourite food/drink place V4 (Verkstadsgatan 4, Hornstull).

Today I baked some... Recipe at www.kanalbullar.com

3 months

Three months, 10 hours and about 15 min ago I landed outside Arlanda Airport, Stockholm, with flames out of the plane motors. I have been back in Sweden for three months. It feels a bit unreal. The year in Australia almost feels like a black hole somewhere years back in my life. I was so filled with anger, sadness and disappointment when I decided to leave forever four days before the Christmas break flight to Sweden. I am still filled with a lot anger, sadness and disappointment when I look back. What was my plan when I moved to the other side of the world and what happened?

The good side of the year: I met wonderful people that I'll always remember and love and hopefully keep contact with - Lizzy and Erika is the two diamonds. The two rocks that kept me hanging on in tough times, even though might had a hard time themselves. And I got so much life experiences - manage to live on my own and meet people, all alone, with no help (at the beginning) or contacts on the other side of the world - the first time moving from home.

Today I am alone for the first time in my familys flat. And I am happy. It feels so good to have some time alone. Even though I right away thought about having a friend over. But Im looking forward to quality time this weekend with people that means the most to me now. Back home.

You know. You loose contact with a lot people when you are away for a year. Its not hard nowadays to get the contact going again, but what keeps me away? What am I afraid of?

Sam Sparro - Black and Gold
is still the favourite tune. It has been going for more than 24 hours on repeat, with a tiny break up with Mustasch songs tonight.

Over and out, sleep tight.

Sundays

Sundays (mornings/mid day most of it all) are for perfect people. People with well working lives filled with training and/or love. I have been going by bus through more or less the important parts of central stockholm around 11.30-12.30pm. The only people outside is people out running and looking unnaturally healthy, couples walking hand in hand and parents with their kids. Maybe a couple of people on their way home in yesterday nights clothes from someone elses place, but it's hard to tell for sure during the swedish winter.

What are the rest of us doing? Most people is probabaly in bed or the sofa watching a movie or taking care of their hangover. Maybe cleaning. Maybe working. I am trying to finish the last parts of a freelance job - won't have much time left for that now. But I wish I was out walking hand in hand. Behing one of those perfect people. Sunday people.

Interior design

When it comes to moving and designing your own place I always get decided and wants to check out IKEA (I know....) and then around to all of these different expensive lovely stores like LONDON W8 and La Maison e.g. Last weekend I was in a store called Bolagret in Skärholmen, Stockholm. I walked around with a opened mouth all the time, it's an awesome store! I recommend everyone that's looking for interior design to have a look there! Most stuff was more or less same prices as Ikea or cheaper. But i doesnt look cheap. It seemed to be good quality stuff (as good as everything).

So if you are in Stockholm have a look at Bolagret in Skärholmen or on Götgatan (there are stores in other swedish cities as well).
