Grey

Man, this week as gone by as a breeze... It's crazy. Five days off and they disappear before your eyes.

I spent the Monday with my cousins and brother watching Madagascar 2 on the movie s and just hanging out. Good day. Tuesday. During the Tuesday I actually managed to put myself together sorting papers and working a bit. Left everything upside down though and went to C. Wednesday. My every week appointment and the off to Espresso House on Kungsgatan where Tove works. I had lunch there. And coffee. Mocha Latte. And tried Chai Latte for the first time, hated it at first, came down to liking it at the end though. Then a cappuccino and muffin. I sat there for more than three hours. Bought cream buns for my parents at Gateau and then home. The off to Plantagen (a shop for flowers, planting and stuff) and City Gross. Got back with Mr at about half past seven, starving. Thursday. Went to my cousins again, picked the older one up - went to central Stockholm. Shopping. We managed to get five t-shirts and one cardigan for 533 SEK. I wish I could buy stuff that cheap! Then we met our grandma and the other cousin for another round at the movie s. Bolt. Dinner in Bromma again. Fabulous food and wine as always! Friday. Went to a shoe-maker on Roslagsgatan getting my newer pair of Fornarina Boots fixed. That's about it.

During my hours at Espresso House two gorgeous women came in there. You know, the natural kinda beauty that anyone would kill for, that I would kill for working with! ANyhow, one of those girls were wearing a pair of tight grey jeans. I haven't liked grey jeans before. But I find myself loving them on these trained/skinny girls out on the street. These are one of my favourite pairs on the market from Acne:

what did we just loose?

We can't see what we don't believe
we can't dream of reality
with our heads in the clouds
and our hands in the air
we try to catch something
but nothing is there

we fall down before we start
we only want to play our part
Yeah our minds are a wash
with all this talk
Am I making sense?

Tell me honey can we ever find the truth?
tell me honey will we ever see one view?
I can't connect if I can't relate to you
and we can't accept what we do not get to choose
tell me honey, what is it we do?
remind me honey, what did we just lose?

You know I've tried to understand
I know you've tried to hold my hand
But try as I will I can not see
am I making sense?

Tell me honey can we ever find the truth?
tell me honey will we ever see one view?
I can't connect if I can't relate to you
and we can't accept what we do not get to choose
tell me honey, what is it we do?
remind me honey, what did we just lose?

Birthday dinner outfit

Yesterday we had a three course dinner at "Den gamle och havet". Very nice restaurant with fantastic food. Enormous portions and a bit to high sound level though, the only minus'. We were there celebrating grandma's 70th Birthday.

My look for the night (might get a photo from the people with camera later on):
* Black shirt dress
* Black tights
* Black really high healed Fornarina Leather/wool boots
* Black cardigan from Billabong
* Black belt with gold details (Vintage)
* Black leather/gold purse (Vintage)

* Straight fluffy blonde hair, very light makeup, a bit rocky-black around my eyes and a very red lipstick.

My cousins (11 and 9 yo) thought I looked like the Swedish artist Amanda Jensen (I reckon because of the blonde hair and red lips...)
Photos of Amanda Jensen from her website

hair

I've been blonde since I was a kid. Really blonde, like a lot of other swedes. Sadly for me it didn't continue that way, no. Since almost 8-9 yrs back I've been doing foils to control my blondeness. I've had long hair, short, very short, weird hairstyles, cool hairstyles, Robyn-hair... Usually I change my hairstyle radically twice a year by my London hairstylist Charlie. Inbetween I'm going to some more conservative hairdresser who just "straightens" the earlier look. I'm tired of my hair the way it is now. Charlie wants to cut it off. I don't, I want looooong platina blonde hair and some nice fringe. These are some of the styles and colours through the years:
Probably the most common hairstyle throughout the years since I was a kid, midlong blonde.

"Rock-cut" Almost a bit 80's/90's hockey hair...

Straight, big fringe and coloured in one brown and a really cold, almost grey blonde colour on top.

Graduation curly

The haircut that was the third - all-getting-shorter-hair-cut by Charlie. Just before easter, into the morning paper all over Sweden... I hated it. Bought a cap and big black sunnies the day after. Didn't return to Charlie for about 1,5 yrs...

My favourite hair cut by Charlie throughout the years. Half into a bob, the rest long and really straight - platina blonde.

What do you reckon I should do with my hair?

Valentine

Alrighty. Valentine's day. Two years ago I was having my third week in Australia on Valentine's Day. Nathan took me out in one of his old cars. You know flowers, drinks, opening doors and so on. It was an absurd experience. The restaurant were full of only couples. No tables for more than two persons. It felt so weird, especially since there were no feelings between us. Not from my side anyway. But that's the only "real" Valentine's Day I've had.

This saturday I did spend time with my man, but not sitting in a row of couples on a restaurant - just by having a quiet night together. I had been planning some presents/surprices, but they all crashed. So I ended up with nothing to him. Not even a rose. That's bad. I got a couple of presents! My headphones has been getting worse and worse lately, since I haven't got the money I had to use iPod/Sony Ericsson headset. But in the box it was these beautiful Red Hot Koss Porta Pro headphones. My looord! Finally I can enjoy music the way I want to again - all the time, everywhere. And the red colour makes the match my mobile phone, my gloves and my satin coloured nails. Red Hot;)Since I love sweats I also got some heart shaped jelly candy.

Yesterday I fell asleep on the lesson and I was about to today as well. After school I've been slacking. Even the clothes I put on this morning was as made for a slack day.

I don't remember if I ever showed you this clip... The back up singer is an ex collegue from the place I worked on last year. He wasn't feeling to good about this. We all understood why after seeing this.

Cream Bun

The yearly tradition of eating yourself fat before easter is still going strong even though most of is not fasting. And it starts right after Christmas instead of 20th-something of February. Anyhow, I did love Cream Buns/Semlor (as we say in Sweden) a lot before. Now a half is enough, and not too many/season. I've managed to taste five different Semlor this far. Now there will only be one more on the 20th of something. This is the ones that I've tasted, price and amount of points considering taste, looks and in comperation to the price.

1. Gateau - The winner!
They have both mini ones for 20 kr (perfect size) and big ones for 32 kr. The size, shape and consistency is perfect. The almond icing is wonderful and even the cream is really nice and at the perfect amount. But I still think that over 30 kr (not even 25 if I would get to choose) is too much for this, so that's what brings the grade down.
4 of 5 pts

2. Linquists
The actual bun wasn't the best and too much cream, really nice taste though and alright price - 28 kr.
3 of 5

2. Boulevard Café & Conditori
Just something missing. A bit too big and the cream wasn't the freshest. Unknown price.

4. NK
Should be the best, but no-no. Expensive 38 kr!!! And rather small (very much enough for one person, but compared to the others).

4. 7-Eleven
19 kr and alright. A bit more than alright actually. I can amaging that a very fresh 7-Eleven bun would be awesome.

Colour

Today I spent money shopping. Yeah. The first time since october. That was a Famous STars and Straps tee for 120 SEK. This time I went to the shop Katitzi (?)on Odengatan. A cool tiny shop with small exclusive brands and vintage. Not my type of clothes but i've decided to change around in my wardrobe! Especially add some colour. I asked for help and tried an amazing amount of clothes. Came out with skin gloves and green chinos. Before I bought a pair of pink Björn Borg sneakers. So today I shopped enough for february...=) I love swedish and Danish design!!
