Favourite Aussie Commercial

Here comes some commercial that I saw in Australia (more to come!):

Cadbury

Lynx (Axe)

The day when I met Headline

We had a celebrity at work today - a swedish rap artist called Headline. He is sooo sweet and beautiful eyes. Really brown, so you can't tell if it's a pupil or only an iris. And short. Probably not more than 160 cm long. Why is all celebrities so short?

Any way, Headline and a artist called Frida got through the group competition and is now in the swedish final for Eurovision Song Contest. Good luck=)

Circle of life

Lately there has been a lot of talking about the film Lion King. J can't stop talking about a Mufasa scene, haha.

And here comes one of the most classic scenes, with the beautiful soundtrack: Circle of life

Victim of Stupid people

Yesterday I was out for real for the first time since I got back home to Swe from Australia. We went to a place called Mango, the club called Ace. For about 1,5 yrs ago I hated the place so much that I said that I wouldn't go there again. But yesterday I went to there to catch up with some mates and my new colleague. The place looks much better now, they've changes some stuff. I thought the drink were alright in price, about 1,5 times the price in Australia though. And the music was better than before. Everything was really good until after 1am, when they, as usual, let too many people inside and it all becomes quite caotic. I can't handle too much people at the same time in a small area. It freaks me out. And the type of people going to Mango is not the 'touch-someones-shoulder-and-say-excuse-me-to-pass', no they are 'crash as many peoples bodies as possible and spit and step on their shoes'. I was so furious when I left that I was about to hit someone. Hard. And the worse thing is the stairs and the toiletques. When I finally had the chance to not fall in the stairs and pass the toilettque some idiot had of cours but a door handle straight out (the kind for big doubledoors) so I got that shit in my stumach. It still hurts. A lot. Sorta like my accident at Vibes on the Sunny Coast in Australia

Anyhow. I'll never go to Mango again.

No, you hang up

Today has been a terrible long day. But I am through! Now it's time for some "Let's dance" (same thing as Dancing with the stars in Australia), couple of Havanna Club drinks after this lovely salmon dinner with wonderful white wine:
Weekends wine recommendation:
Petit Chablis Domaine Sainte Claire, France, SEK 99/ AUS$ N/A. pretty easy to drink but with a strong but soft 'aftertaste' - perfect for fish and shellfish.

Now when I got a full time job, I don't feel as strong need to have company all the time. But god damn, it would be nice with some company this weekend...

No cruise

I won't be going on the cruise. It wouldn't go to Tallin, but to Mariehamn. And I'm going to celebrate my grandma's birthday on saturday.

It feels a bit sad, but hey, I reckon there will be more cruises in the future!

Ive been talking to a dear friend of mine from Småland (mid southern sweden sorta) that i've known for about six years. We talked for about 1,5h as usual. Or actually we could talk for 4-5h sometimes, or every week sometimes. He's always been there for me. I just hope that he feels like he can talk to me as well, just like I can talk with him. Hope me and J will be going to Moas 27 year party in Linköping, cause the I'll be seeing S and his fiancee as well!

Time for bed! Take care, ciao!

Cruise?

I just got an offer - going on a cruise this weekend to Estonia for about 500 SEK (~80 AUS$) with some mates from Western Aros. If my boss says yes I will leave on friday for a weekend in Tallinn. I've never been anywhere in balticum before. Or on a cruise. I need to go away for a while. Iäve been thinking about cities in sweden, weekends in Europe or maybe over Easter. But this feels sorta like it's meant to be. I hope so. I hope I'll go.

Weird connection

Today when I went on one of the buses home from work I got eye contact with a man. You know that kind of eyecontact that gives you a weird feel of connection, that you can't define. You know sometimes when you're sitting on the subway or bus or just standing in a queue and you suddenly notice that you got stuck in someones eyes without any reason. Maybe you're blushing or trying to find any reason to look away - advertising, mobile phone or maybe your iPod. Is it some sort of destiny? Or just like a deja vu sorta thing? Or just nothing at all?

Pryda

Eric Prydz/Pryda is mostly known for the two most famous remixes of his - Call on me and Proper Education (he was the first ever to be allowed to touch a Pink Floyd song). At work one of the graphic designers always play a British radioshow in the afternoon. One song has truely got stuck in my head, I love it! It's Eric Prydz - Piano ID. It's terrible but the only audiofile for it I can find is this terrible mobile video.

Party like a rockstar!

I have to start off with this WEEK song: LaZee - Rock away But keep reading, more to read;) Wine, moving, Aussie Loo's, Skärholmen centrum

LaZee is a Swedish (!) hiphop/rap artist. Awesome, not my style but I love this song.

Wine Recommendation of the Weekend:
Brolio - Italy SEK 104kr AUS N/A. Lovely, rather heavy red wine, perfect for a nicer pasta with meat or some sort of steak. 4 of 5 dices

This weekend I've been helping J to move. Everything has been working perfectly. It's just a bit tight in the new wonderful unit. From 37 square metres to 22. Believe it or not, he actually have: hall, living room, bedroom, kitchen and bathroom - on 22 square metres! Awesome design. I love the bar chairs - from Bolagret of course! My body feels pretty tired today, but I've got my biceps back!

We had lunch in Skärholmen Centrum today, it's a really great place since they changed almost it all! You can find anything you need there, including a awesome food court (and Bolagret!). Anyhow, I needed to use the loo. It was also unbelievable nice! And then I remember all the loos in Aus, they were everywhere, as good as always nice and they were always for free to use and always toilet paper!

Now I have to work for a while! Going to bed early tonight, I reckon.

I truely miss you, Erika! Hope everything is all good back home at the Sunny Coast!

Happy birthday

Sam Lyons, Marie Lindman, Jonna Ek and Alexander Molander=)

when anger shows

In that moment you realise
That something you thought would always be there will die
Like everything else

These thoughts I must not think of
Dreams I cant make sense of
I need you to tell me its ok
These thoughts I must not think of
Dreams I cant make sense of
I need you to tell me its ok

You are a sleeping lion in your bed
I will not wake you
You're the moment
Love has passed
We all must learn to hate you
You're a memory from before
Please don't let me forget you
You're the wolves at my door

When things are not going the way they should

Why can't life be predictable for one day? One hour? One minute? My life is never ever standing still. Is that a good or a bad thing? Both I have to say. At the moment everything is pretty stabile and perfect more or less, but I just can't help disturbing it to become something not as good. Or why not be grumpy without knowing why??

Anyhow, Photo of the day:

Sundays

Sundays (mornings/mid day most of it all) are for perfect people. People with well working lives filled with training and/or love. I have been going by bus through more or less the important parts of central stockholm around 11.30-12.30pm. The only people outside is people out running and looking unnaturally healthy, couples walking hand in hand and parents with their kids. Maybe a couple of people on their way home in yesterday nights clothes from someone elses place, but it's hard to tell for sure during the swedish winter.

What are the rest of us doing? Most people is probabaly in bed or the sofa watching a movie or taking care of their hangover. Maybe cleaning. Maybe working. I am trying to finish the last parts of a freelance job - won't have much time left for that now. But I wish I was out walking hand in hand. Behing one of those perfect people. Sunday people.

All at once

As most people around me has noticed lately I am a bit confused at the moment. I feel sorry for J who has to hear me during the late hours when my brains starts to ponder. This far in my life I have always been very planned and organised about my future. But since almost two months back everything has been plain, white, empty - call it whatever you like. No plan. No idea. What to do. It makes me confused. And very complainish. I don't like it. I've got some freelance stuff, maybe a fulltime job, the worlds best friends and family and someone to listen to me during the late hours;) So what am I complaining about? That's what I wonder every day. But I guess I left Australia too quickly, and didn't take care of myself there.

2007 in Australia was probabaly the longest and shortest, best and worse, happiest most sad year in my entire life. I guess I need to melt it or something. Sleep is probabaly the best medicine, so now it will be the bed for me!

Here's a song that has the same feel, if you ask me=)
Pete Yorn - All at once (I know the 'video' is crap but I dont know how to upload music only)

The winners

It actually started snowing yesterday as well! So even the weather was up for our new tradition. Cause now it certainly is a tradition. We even started discussing other summer sports like paint ball so we can have a triple date every 6th month!

My team, Sojo, lost this years game of boule. Entirely because of me. Sorry! The winners for this year came to be last years biggest loosers - T & F - Team Domstol. Congratulations! You deserved it this year!!!

Awesome night, anyway. Thanks everyone!

Triple date

Tonight it is time for Triple Date 2008! Last year my dear friend T and I started it. Three couples, starting off drinking mojitos at La Habana and maybe dancing some salsa there as well, then indoor Boule at Boulebar Surbrunnsgatan. Last year we had a snow storm here in Stockholm during the entire day and while we were playing boule, so when we got out it had stopped and it was perfect untouched snow everywhere. In the middle of central Stockholm. Even though we were in the age 19-26 yo we all started a snowball war.

This year we are three people from last year and three new. I am all excited I think it's so much great fun. And I always have to win, I am a very bad looser (worse winner...) and last year my team (me and A as a managed to be my date the same day as the date last year, haha) won last year. Of course me and my new date J is gonna win this year as well.

I think I am gonna take a nap now so I will be fit for fight later on tonight!

Wine recommendation of the weekend:
Martini Asti AUS$10/SEK69 (3 of 5 dices)
Perfect to start off a party, very easy to drink and perfect even as desert wine or instead of Champagne.
If you prefer a wine that is not as sweet but still for the same purpose I would like to recommend the Australian
Jacob's Creek Chardonnay Pinot Noir AUS$12/SEK99 (4 of 5 dices)

Daft Hands/Bodies

I don't know, most of you have probably seen these two clips. First time I heard about 'Daft Hands' it didn't excite me at all. When I first watched it, I couldnt see the interesting part about it all (I don't have any patience and expect everything to happen right away), until after about 30 sec. So keep on wathching the hole clip - at least the Daft Hands one. Daft Bodies came as a response to Daft Hands. Awesome girls!

DAFT HANDS

DAFT BODIES

Good morning!

I am used to waking up to the same tune every morning on my mobile. But this morning I woke up by a radio alarm, it was a relatively old tune that I really like, so I started to sing along and feel the rhytm, haha. As soon as I got home I just had to get the tune! And I found it - Charles & Eddie - Would I lie to you?

Here's the lyrics so you can sing-a-long!
Music Lyrics
And here you have the awesome video from 1992!

Enjoy!
